Sophia Paul has earned a place for herself in tinsel town as one of the successful producers in Mollywood

Sophia Paul is living a dream in Mollywood by producing back-to-back hit movies. She heads production house Weekend Blockbusters, which has produced three successful ventures — Bangalore Days (which she co-produced with Anwar Raseed Entertainments), Kaadu Pookkunna Neram and Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol. Up next is a Fahadh Faasil-starrer directed by Marthandan.

We used real sounds from the forest for Kaadu Pookkunna Neram: Dr Biju

Dr Biju's Kaadu Pookkunna Neram won this year's National Award for Best Film Designing. The award went to Jayadevan Chakkadath, sound designer of the movie. The elated director tells us, "We were able to perfect the sounds for the movie and create an atmosphere of the forest. The sounds of the forest were recorded on the location and even the minutest sounds of wind and water came through.

Critically acclaimed Malayalam movie ‘Kaadu Pookkunna Neram’, written and directed by Dr Biju, has found place in the list of those films competing for the British Academy Film and Television Award nominations in different categories. The movie, which revolves around the conflict between authority and activists who fight for the rights of marginalised, was already selected to seven international movie festivals including in the upcoming International Film Festival of Kerala.
